WHAT IS THE
GEAR LIBRARY??
Like a traditional Library, the Gear Library is a place that let’s anyone borrow outdoor recreational gear!
Whether you are new to biking, just need to borrow a bike or want to try a new genre of biking, or simply forgot a piece of hiking equipment, the Gear Library is always accessible for you to get the gear you need.
Operated by grant funding and volunteers, the Gear Library provides gear through donations, but you always have the option to check out anything at no cost and no credit card needed!
The Gear Library is a non-profit managed by Bike The North Country and Bethlehem Trails Association. All donations are tax deductible and go towards maintaining or buying new gear!
how to get your gear!
SELECT YOUR LOCATION
All gear is checked out and returned to the same location. To ensure you get all the correct access information, please be sure you are selecting the correct location!
pick out your gear
Just like your are shopping, select the date and times you plan to check out the gear. Pick out a bike or hiking equipment that meets your needs. Be sure to check the listed sizes and numbers on the bikes!
Check out and unlock
Check out like you would at any online store. Once you do so, you will receive a confirmation email and terms and conditions waiver. After that is filled out, you will receive your access codes and instructions!
GO PLAY!
Now get out there and enjoy your gear! Be sure to follow all the provided instructions and treat the gear nicely so it’s there for the next person, and so you can borrow it again. Once your are done, be sure to return it in clean condition and lock it back up!
