Step 1 Become a member

Whether you live nearby or are just visiting, start by signing up as a Gear Library member.

Step 2 — Get the lock code

Once you sign-up as a member, the Gear Library code will be emailed to you. You will need the code to unlock the Gear Shed!

Step 3 — Check-out gear

Summer/Fall: Youth Bikes

  • Specialized Hotwalk: Our hotwalk is a great first bike for toddlers and kids.

    Light and Simple, the Hotwalk features 12-inch tires and a lightweight aluminum frame with lower standover to fit smaller riders.

    Best for kids: 18 months to 4 years old

  • Norco Runner: Our Runner is a great first bike for toddlers and kids.

    *Features a single handbrake, and is a great bike to introduce kids and toddlers to braking!

    Other features include 12-inch tires and a lightweight aluminum frame with lower standover to fit smaller riders.

    Best for Ages 18 months - 4 years

  • Specialized Riprock Coaster: Our 2 Riprock Coaster bikes feature pedals with a coaster brake for simple stopping, training wheels, and wide 16 x 2.3" tires that increase stability and confidence.

    Best for ages 3-4

  • Norco Roller: Our 2 Rollers feature high-quality & lightweight 16″ wheels, one-speed gear, with front & rear hand brakes.

    Best for ages 4-5

Summer/Fall: Baby Carriers

  • Our 2 Osprey backpack carriers are adjustable for adult carrying and are designed to carry infants between 23.8 - 48.5 lbs. They come with a built-in sunshade to help shade your baby!

  • Telescoping poles adjust from 27 to 54 inches with easy-use lever locks.

  • Please let us know if you use any first aid supplies so that we can keep it well stocked!

Winter- Snowshoes

  • Make Bigfoot tracks! SnowPaws are shaped like a bear paw and leave tracks in the snow. Complete with easy-on, easy-off binding. Redfeather Snowpaws allows your child to enjoy snowshoeing just like you do!

  • Fits Kids' shoe sizes 7.5–13.5 and adult sizes 1–4.5.

    A kid-sized version of MSR’s reliable Denali™ snowshoes, these easy-to-use snowshoes are intended for children who weigh up to 90 pounds (41 kg). They feature steel crampons and kid-friendly molded traction bars for great all-around traction and added safety.

Winter- Ice traction

  • Designed for youth, ages 6 to 11 to use on ice and snow surfaces, mountains, muddy and wet terrains for walking, jogging, hiking, and ice fishing.

    We carry size small (13-3.5) and medium (3.5-7.5)

  • Kahtoola MICROspikes® Traction System allows anyone to get out and enjoy most any condition. Stretch them over your shoes when you need extra grip - they're ideal for anything from wet rocks to slick sidewalks and icy driveways, or even the added confidence that comes along with extra traction on the trail.

    We carry all sizes: Small (mens 5-8, womens 6-9); Medium (mens 8-11, womens 9-12); Large (mens 11-14); X-Large (mens 14-16)

  • Slightly smaller spikes than the Microspikes, the EXOspikes™ are another great ice traction option for both ice and snow as well as on dry, rocky ground. They are designed for running or hiking adventures on a variety of surfaces. We typically use these for running and the microspikes for hiking! We carry sizes for all shoe/boot sizes.

Winter- Other Gear

  • This Flexible Flyer baby pull sled is the perfect way to tow babies on packed snow, groomed paths, or snow up to 4 inches deep. Don’t forget to strap your baby in for safety!
